 | MITCHELL, James John (1822-1901) and Susan Ogilvie McFARLANE (1830-1898) - Their third home, built by the time of their daughter Flora's wedding in 1896. Located on Columbian Blvd in Armstrong, IA.
They lived first in a sod shanty southeast of Armstrong when they arrived as pioneers. They then built a house on that property. The house above was their third, built when they moved into Armstrong, IA. It is located there yet today.
